The Nail Filezz September'10

This month I dedicated the theme of my nails to one of my all time
favorite Sanrio characters; Cinnamoroll!^^

I love how the different shades of baby blue glitter colors came out and the prisma colored Swarowski crystals in my opinion just gave the finishing touch.
The pictures of the characters are tiny little stickers which came with my Cinnamoroll calendar I bought in Bangkok last year.
Now dolls, tell me, which Sanrio character would you dedicate your nails to?

Egoist fall 2010

These are my fav.looks from Egoist Fall 2010!
Though I think bare legs in autumn are a liiitle too cold up where I live, the looks are very wearable and I love the fact that it looks so fashionable but simple & comfy at the same time.
Now, if you'll excuse me please, I need to get myself some of these tails to decorate myself and my stuff with!^^

Buckle up, accessory haul!

As I already mentioned in my previous "the nail failzz" post, I'm going through a serious gold obsessed fhase right now...mix that up with an accessory shopping spree and you'll get the following result; ^^



I noticed that I even forgot some things in de photo, but you'll get the idea;)The things I found myself wearing the most on a daily basis are the huge cream/gold colored rose ring with rhinestones, the heard shaped earrings and some of the big necklaces. The bangles are nice but a bit plain for me, so I love to combine them with others.. oh,and I finally got an usamimi! I've been wanting one for quite some time now, but couln't find them around here, so just when I decided it was time to go make my own I came across this cute lace example!

Another cool purchase I made are these buckled boots!



I think they're perfect to wear to more formal occasions, but I can also see myself wearing them to the club or something. The heels are a little too high to wear them to go shopping or doing random daily things in, cause the sole seems to be "just not there" I'm planning to wear them to a wedding next month, now I'll just need a matching outfit!

A little bit more simple & classic this month for a change and it perfectly
matches my current gold obsession!

Greys have more fun!?

I used to dye my hair a silvery grey about 1,5 a year ago I think, (see pic.on the right :P) after being a "whitehead" for quite some time.
White and grey are very difficult colors to maintain for me , as I have a lot of warmth in my natural hair color, thanks to my dad who's hair is ginger!
A simple root touch up routine takes about 6 hours and consists of 2 rounds of bleaching and than the coloring to take out the last bit of warmth that survived when I go white and also to fill in the color when I go grey.
So the last months I settled for a very, very light ashy blonde, a little bit more- but still not natural color so that my scalp and hair could get some rest and hopefully grow stronger and longer...
But than it happened... I saw the preview of the spread Gaga did for next month's Vanity Fair and I was sold.. Being completely in love with the hair in this editorial I could only make one decision; yes darlings, this week I'm going back to grey!

"Greyheads" are also being seen more and more in fashion, started out on the catwalk and the editorial models the trend is now slowly hitting the streets and is seen on the heads of the fashion forward teenagers & twentiers and celebs.

Bite,don't lick!

I fell in love with Cake Pops (cute little cakes in all shapes and forms, put on a lollipop stick) from the moment I saw them in a random magazine at the bookstore. I just love my sweets to look pretty, cute and decorated when possible, so you can imagine why I got all excited when I found out there was another new fabulous looking variant out there; Ice Cream Cone Cake Pops!

Yup that's right; yummy cake dressed up as scoops of ice cream in a real waffle cone, topped off with a 'cherry' made of a red peanut M&M... now doesn't that sounds delicious?! I think they look just as yum & fun as the real deal and the cool part is; these won't drip!:P

Jeremy Scott X Adidas X "Snuggle Bear"?

"Nooo, they killed Snuggle bear!!" that was my first reaction to the preview pic's of Jeremy Scott's sneaker design for Adidas Originals Spring / Summer 2011.

Remember the cute bear on the bottles of fabric softener? He used to be quite popular in the late 80's/ early 90's and lately I've been spotting this cute character used in accessories more and more on the streets of Tokyo for example.

I actually remembered I had this fantastic warm 'n soft aqua bathrobe with his face on the back as a kid which I absolutely adored and I have to admit I still own some of his items..

Anyways, the bear in the sneakers just reminded my very much of him.

As for the sneakers, I'm really in love with the pink version and I definitely hope to get my hands on them for next spring!^^

Till then, I'm contemplating to dig up my old stuffed up Snuggle bears and decapitate them

in the name of fashion to use them for some cute D.I.Y accessory projects and just wear

the other 2 fabulous winged pairs of JS sneakers I already own!^^

The Nail Filezz July'10

I love 'getting my nails did' every month and this month I even got to do it twice..

I used to have acrylics but lately I experienced some trouble with the overlay lifting, so

my nail artist and I decided to give gel a try and go for a new set of extra long stilettos.

I was absolutely psyched about the length and the My Little Pony inspired result but this

set of nails didn't only lift, nooo, they all completely fell of after a day or 5! O.O Most

likely cause is stress or a hormonal change..yeah I'm tellin' ya; hormones are a b*tch!

So I switched back to a little shorter set of acrylic stilettos a week ago, this time inspired

by the colors of the uber cute Kokeshi doll my girl Otti got me for my B.day.^^

Hope these will stay till' August..

Amica Publication July'10
